The Concrete Rose

Have you seen the concrete rose?
In the city is where it grows,
although met with much opposition,
it has never questioned it's troubled situation.

It grows because it wants to show the world its beauty,
even if it grows in between the concrete cracks of the city,
sidewalks, nothing seems to match it's creativity.
It grows right in the middle of all the activity.

Even if hit by a bird or person,
it would never detour the concrete rose,
from the place that it grows.

Sure it had a rough beginning,
but now all sorts of good things are happening;
It made the choice to keep growing and to do more.
Never hoping for a better place to grow and live,
but making the best of it's situation.

There is nothing to say to it other than congratulations,

continuing to press forward.
It's goals have now been met and are going toward,
something that will benefit and be put to good use,
not compromise or give in to abuse,
that it will get, living in between the concrete cracks of the city.

The flowers will still bloom and show its splendor,
to the world that only a few seem to see and adore,
but it's there;

Waiting to bloom and put a new fragrance into the air,
but will we share,
what we have to give to the concrete rose?

I don't know the answers to everything,
I know the concrete rose I speak of has endured much of what's a winters cold and unrelenting sting. However, I wish to shelter this concrete rose of the city,
and let it show all of it's inner and outer beauty,
so that it may feel safety and security;
maybe then the concrete rose will see my hearts purity,
of intentions and feelings.

The concrete rose has many colors,
each season they seem to change;
or to rearrange,
themselves because it is an original and creative thing.

If only I felt that the rose was willing to let go of the concrete cracks,
would I be willing to give it a proper place to grow.
That place is where no one will ever go.
to hurt or destroy it.
The place I speak of is a place not many will ever know or see,
because it will never be,
in the same place twice.
This I think is wise,
the concrete rose has a choice to make,
whether or not it will want to break,
it's ties to the concrete cracks of the city,
because in it's ugliness it is also very pretty;
you just need to find what the concrete rose sees
as beautiful and worth remembering.
this rose seeks out the different and original.
although it is never something that sticks out in the open
the things that it seeks out hide
but will the concrete rose see or hear what it is i have said?
