No more will I hide in shadow...
The past was a deep cut in which blood would flow.
Now I'm a new man healed with scars,
I choose to move on not toward pain, but up to the stars.
Here I am with a new start in life,
Clean slate, no trouble, pain or strife.
Nothing more can hold me back from achieving,
because seeing all this progress, changed my thinking and believing.
There will always be challenges for me,
and when they arise, I'll know where i want to be.
When failure comes around to get me down,
I'll learn my lesson and then bury it in the ground.
Then enjoy triumph and success
but who could have ever guessed
that one day I would rise from the ashes,
and survive all the cuts and even deeper gashes.
